Tournament Format and Rules

• Games will start promptly on scheduled times. Please arrive a half-hour before your first scheduled game time. CHECK SCHEDULE ENCLOSED


• Each game will consist of two 22-minute halves. There will be a five-minute half time break and 10 minutes between the next game. Note no team will play back to back games. Therefore, each team will have a one hour and 10 minute break between contests. Players may use this time to visit the food court, lacrosse manufactures or participate in the fastest shot contest.


All games will start on the hour. A two-minute warning (TWO HORN BLASTS) followed by a game starting (SINGLE HORN BLAST) will commence each contest. A (SINGLE HORN BLAST ) will end the first half. A (SINGLE HORN BLAST) will commence the second half after the five-minute half time break. TWO HORN BLASTS will end each contest. EACH TEAM CAN HAVE ONE 30 SECOND TIME OUT PER GAME. Please exit the field immediately after lining up to shake hands. We need to give the next teams 10 minutes to warm up on the field.


• PENALTIES WILL BE SERVED AND THE TEAM COMMITTING THE PENALTY WILL KEEP THE TIME.


•REFEREES WILL KEEP OFFICIAL TIME AT MIDDLE AND HIGH SCHOOL GAMES.


• NOTE- no time has been scheduled for lunch since there is a one-hour break between games.


• NOTE- we have made every attempt not to schedule repeat season games in the schedule. Please do not attempt to change the schedule.


• NOTE- please provide a medical kit, ice packs and water for your team


A DEFIBULATOR AND OXYGEN ARE LOCATED AT THE PORTICO


• NOTE- It is essential that your team carries the proper insurance. It is necessary to provide me with a roster of your team and coaches. To carry the proper insurance, Bollinger Insurance mandates that I present these within one week of the end of the tournament. Please e-mail me or hand deliver at the tournament.


• VOLUNTEERS WILL BE WEARING SECURITY T-SHIRTS. PLEASE ADDRESS ANY QUESTIONS TO THEM OR FIND TONY RANDI AT THE FIELD HOUSE.


BOYS RULES


  • CONTACT RULES ARE IN EFFECT- NO MAN BALL, THE PLAYER MUST HAVE POSSESSION TO MAKE CONTACT
  • GOALIES MUST WEAR FULL EQUIPMENT- INLUDING ARM PADS
  • NO ONE HANDED CHECKS
  • 4 GOAL RULE
  • TEAM DOWN GETS BALL AT MIDFIELD LINE
  • TEAM UP 4 GOALS MUST COMPLETE 3 PASSES, 2 IN THE BOX PRIOR TO SHOOTING

 

        

GIRLS RULES-


FOURTH GRADE PLAY NCPAL


-NO CHECKING, 3 SECOND DEFENSIVE COUNT, 2 ATTEMPTED PASSES.  WHEN 4 GOAL RULE IS IN EFFECT, TEAM DOWN BY 4 GOALS- 2 ATTEMPTED PASSES ARE STILL REQUIRED. TEAM UP BY 4- 3 CAUGHT PASSES BELOW OFFENSE RESTRAINING LINE.
 
FIFTH AND SIXTH GRADE PLAY US LACROSSE LEVEL "A" RULES

MODIFIED CHECKING  BELOW THE SHOULDER AND 3 SECONDS DEFENSE
