The Garden City Youth Lacrosse program is planning to hold the Fifteenth Annual Jay Gallagher Memorial Tournament on June 16th and 17th, 2012 between 10:00AM and 4:00PM. Second, third, fourth, fifth, sixth, seventh and eight grade boys along with fourth ,fifth, sixth, and seventh grade girl’s teams will be participating. Out of town teams from the northeast will be invited to compete in the tournament. All visiting teams have been asked to contribute $600 to offset the cost of our tournament. We are requesting the Garden City parents to contribute $50 per child. However, any donation would be greatly appreciated. This will help pay for referees and tee shirts.
Our hopes are to raise money for the Miracle Foundation and Mollie Biggane Melanoma Foundation's fight against cancer and the Andy Foundation. All proceeds from the tournament will go to support the above charities. The Jay Gallagher Memorial Tournament is a 501(c)3 non profit organization dedicated to improving cancer awareness and improving the lives of those diagnosed with cancer and to finding a cure for the disease.
